ABOUT THE SULZER SCHOLARSHIP – FIELDS COVERED

Sulzer is inviting students to apply for their Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Scholarship, for the 2025 academic year.

Bursaries will be awareded to Black Females students, pursuing studies in Science, Engineering, or related fields.

Sulzer’s Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) Scholarship is dedicated to empowering future female leaders in science and engineering, fostering greater inclusion, and paving the way for a more innovative and equitable future. Through this initiative, Sulzer supports talented women who aspire to drive progress and create impactful change within these fields.

The scholarship will provide full cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, accommodation and a monthly living allowance.

Students will also partake in job shadowing/ practical on-the-job learning opportunities, throughout their studies.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SULZER SCHOLARSHIP

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be a Black female
  • You must be from a disadvantaged background
  • You must have completed Matric
  • You must be studying towards a qualification within Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • You must be studying at a recognised and accredited tertiary institution in South Africa

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE SULZER SCHOLARSHIP

Download and complete the Sulzer Scholarship Application Form 2025 (.pdf)

Enter “www.zabursaries.co.za” in the field asking how you heard about the Sulzer Scholarship.
 

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • ID Document (certified copy)
  • ID sized photograph
  • Matric certificate
  • Most recent academic results/ record (on institutions letterhead)
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Your self-report (family, study, Hobby, academic area of interest, career interest, etc.)
  • Reference with their name, profession, contact number and signature
