ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER – PN FOUNDATION

Founded in 2019, the Patrick Nndwamato Education Foundation is dedicated to uplifting communities across South Africa by fostering economic development and reducing poverty. With a strong emphasis on empowering youth from underprivileged backgrounds, the foundation invests in their growth from early childhood through their educational journey and beyond.

By providing long-term support, the foundation seeks to equip young individuals with the skills and opportunities needed to thrive. Its ultimate goal is to nurture a generation of productive, self-sufficient citizens who play a vital role in driving economic progress within their communities.
 

ABOUT THE PN FOUNDATION BURSARY – FIELDS COVERED

The Patrick Nndwamato Foundation is inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2025 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded for studies within Artisan trades, including: Plumbing, Electrical Work, Tailoring, Carpentry and more.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PN FOUNDATION BURSARY

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must have completed Matric in 2024
  • You must intend on studying towards becoming an Artisan (Plumbing, Electrical Work, Tailoring, Carpentry etc)
  • You must be passionate about becoming an artisan and for working with hands-on skills
  • You must have applied to study at a Colleges or TVET institution in South Africa (NOT a University)

 

HOW TO APPLY FOR THE PN FOUNDATION BURSARY

Submit the following supporting documentation along with your completed online application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric certificate and/ or latest academic results (certified copy)
  • Course outline and quotation
  • Motivational letter to support your application (read our tips on how to write a motivational letter for your bursary application)
  • Proof of Residential Address (e.g., an account bill not older than 3 months)
