As a way to give back, the Firm and its Foundation (JPMorgan Chase Foundation) donate around US$200 million each year to global nonprofit organizations, as well as heading volunteer services for employees within local communities.
ABOUT THE BURSARY PROGRAMME – FIELDS COVERED & COVERAGE
JP Morgan will be awarding bursaries within the following fields of study:
- Aeronautical Engineering
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Electronic Engineering
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mining Engineering
- Mechatronic Engineering
- Business Management Studies
- Economics
- Finance
- Investments
The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, prescribed books, stationery, accommodation in residence or equivalent private accommodation, meals, transport (a maximum of 4 bus trips home per year) and a a personal computer.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- South African citizen
- Completed Matric
- Studying full time within one of the aforementioned fields of study
- Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% at tertiary level
- Strong academic potential
